Katie and Matt are married and off on their honeymoon in Mexico (so jealous, I have 3 inches of snow here!) Katie is a beautiful bride and now Matt has seen the dress I can show just how pretty she is. We had fun tramping through the sunflower fields!

Hill Family.
Last time I photographed this family it was at Aaron & Erin's wedding. Now they have two beautiful kids and Erin is getting more and more interested in photography. She was my assistant on at this wedding, and these bridals...and hopefully on some upcoming events!

Baby Teva.
Is this not one of the most beautiful little babies ever? Newborn photography is so challenging but this little one made my job easy.
I've been asked a lot about how I "go about" photographing a newborn session.
My answer: I prefer to photograph infants in their own home. So I haul all of my stuff to the client's home, lights (if needed) and lots of other stuff. I am always looking for something different and new. I love to use textured material or elements from the clients home. It is always important to find out if there is a certain outfit the baby needs to be photographed in, however most of the time the baby is just in their diaper. You can not rush when photographing a newborn so I plan on 1-3 hours depending on feeding, etc. You have to keep baby warm and comfy. I have a lot of ideas I am going to try to incorporate in my upcoming sessions. and I will be offering a Baby's 1st year package that includes a newborn session (first 4 weeks), 3 month, 6 month, 9 month, and 1 year session so check back for details!

Nordquist {the whole family}
I love this family. I would really love to photograph each individual family on a single family session when we have more time. Trying to keep everyone happy, clean, and content while photographing all the different family groups can be a real challenge. They are such a good looking family, and the children are all what I call "model" material. Thanks again for DINNER!!

Stephanie {bridals}
What a pretty bride Stephanie is. She is so excited for her wedding a just a few weeks. Best wishes to you, hopefully you got a BIG diet coke after this session... I know you needed a drink!
I have had some very eventful photo sessions lately too. After this session I went back to my car to find my window had been smashed in and my purse stolen. I knew I should have taken in with me but I was already caring a huge camera bag, light stands, and other equipment so I left it in the car (under a blanket). Someone must have needed my belongings more that myself.
